Adding the Model Context Protocol (MCP) allows AI coding assistants to access the Hex UI registry directly.
Instead of searching through documentation or looking up component names, the AI can automatically discover and install the components your project needs.
Installation
- Enable MCP in your project environment (Claude Code, Cursor, and other compatible clients are supported).
- Add the registry to your
components.jsonfile.
{ "registries": { "@hex": "https://hexui.sh/r/{name}.json" }}Usage
You can now ask your AI coding assistant to install components from the registry.
Examples:
- "Replace the current hero section with a cleaner version from Hex UI"
- "Create a sponsor section using the Social Proof components from Hex UI."
- "Find and add a login form from Hex UI."
